On January 12, the 2023“Huabei maritime ballast water testing Tea Party” was successfully held in Huabei Laboratory. Senior LR surveyor Yang, dozens of ship inspection institutions and related scientific research units attended the meeting, the participants had academic exchanges and discussions on technical issues of common concern to the industry, such as ballast water management system certification and ballast water treatment technology.

At the beginning of the meeting, Huabei Marine director Feng Shaojie works opening remarks. Senior LR surveyor Yang delivered a speech at the Tea Party and raised new expectations and requirements for the ship inspection industry. Subsequently, participants from tribocare, Jiangyin Customs, Viswa, Chuangsheng, Banglin, Dalian Hengqin testing, Lane testing and Ru Hai made presentations respectively.

At the meeting, representatives of various organizations also had a heated discussion on the technical problems and working methods encountered in the actual operation of ship ballast water testing, to share the results of ballast water sampling, testing, treatment technology and related policy research. The participants expressed their expectation to strengthen communication and contact with colleagues, and to cooperate in ballast water testing and other fields in the future.

The head of Huabei Maritime said that with the continuous and rapid development of ship inspection, Huabei maritime will work with all colleagues in the industry to seize historical opportunities, take the lead, promote the development of the industry, and provide professional and efficient services, in the field of ballast water testing and other technologies to contribute their own efforts for the country's ship in the field of international cooperation, testing business development and related economic development to provide technical support.

After the meeting, under the leadership of Huabei Maritime Principal, the participants jointly visited the construction and development plan of Huabei ship ballast water testing laboratory, huabi has given a high degree of laboratory evaluation and full recognition.

This Tea Party is an annual exchange in the ship inspection industry. Through in-depth technical exchanges and discussions, the cooperation consensus has been further deepened, it is helpful to promote the development and improvement of the technology of ship ballast water treatment equipment, and promote the industry to deal with the full implementation of the ballast water convention.

At the meeting, participants to establish the“China ballast water testing association” to discuss and communicate, and reached a number of cooperation consensus.
