On April 18th, the reporter learned from the website of the Shenzhen Transportation Bureau that the recently released "Notice on Conducting the Application of LNG Ship Rewards" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice") shows that enterprises operating in Shenzhen will be rewarded for three consecutive years for building or purchasing large LNG transport ships with their own capacity and less than 5 years of age.

According to the notice, a reward of 5 million yuan per year is given for ships with a capacity of 80000 cubic meters and above, and 10 million yuan per year for ships with a capacity of 160000 cubic meters and above. The ship's rating is rounded to the nearest whole number. This application is from May 4th to May 31st, 2023, and from January 4th to January 31st of each year from 2024 to 2028. The previous year's reward application will be submitted, and overdue applications will not be accepted. The Shenzhen Transportation Bureau is responsible for accepting, reviewing, and distributing the application for reward funds.

In addition, enterprises operating in the Pearl River Delta and taking Shenzhen Port as the starting port will be rewarded. The reward standard is that enterprises with an annual LNG transportation volume of 200000 tons or more per route will be rewarded at a rate of 1 yuan per ton. The annual reward amount for each route shall not exceed 5 million yuan, and the reward period is 3 years.

It is reported that the "Notice" will come into effect from April 7, 2023, and is valid until December 31, 2025. Ships that meet the reward requirements for newly built or newly purchased LNG ships during the validity period of the Notice but have not received the reward for the remaining 3 years can still continue to apply for the reward for the remaining years after the expiration of the validity period.
