US VGP 2013 Ballast Water Detection
According to the regulations of FINAL 2013 VGP of the United States, ships equipped with ballast water treatment systems must regularly sample and analyze the ballast water to be discharged. The main detection indicators are as follows:
l- Total heterotrophic bacteria
l-Escherichia coli
l-enterococcus
Among them, BWMS using active substances also needs to monitor the residual active substances and derivatives in the discharged ballast water.

IMO-D2 ballast water
• According to the D-2 standard, 2 levels of biological indicators need to be tested
• The method for indicative analysis is derived from BWM. 2/Circ. 42/Rev. 2
• Evaluate whether the self monitoring parameters of the ballast water treatment system (such as flow rate, TRO concentration, UV transmittance/intensity, etc.) have appropriate operating conditions
• By an independent third party
